Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been having a few rough days. A few rough months, if you ask me.
The self-proclaimed “Democratic socialist” wants to make big life decisions for you.
She wants to get rid of air travel, deciding how you get around for you. She wants to impose strict environmental regulations, deciding how you get energy, food, and housing.
Now she wants to decide how you receive medical care. Her support of “Medicare for All” would eliminate your private health insurance.
You’d have to get health care from the government. Imagine how terrible that would be.
And when people protested, AOC actually spoke for you.
From Fox News:
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., said on Wednesday nobody is “heartbroken” by the prospect of losing their private health insurance if Medicare for All were to be implemented…
Excuse me miss AOC…
How can you say none of us would be “heartbroken” if our private insurance—which saves lives—would be taken away and replaced with government-run health care?
Nobody would be heartbroken to have to get health care from the same people who run the DMV and post office?
None of us would be heartbroken to have to wait months sometimes to see a doctor?
Why wouldn’t we be heartbroken to see taxes go up sky-high or to lose jobs because of the massive burden of your $40 trillion plan?
All of that would likely happen—and more—should AOC’s terrible Medicare for All be put into effect.
Ask the people in Europe if they like their plans. Ask the people from socialist countries in South America—who are fleeing to the U.S. right now—if they liked their health coverage.
In my opinion the best way to make healthcare more affordable is by creating competition through the free market. Medicare for all is likely the death of that.
So the question is, does AOC speak for you?
